Amanda "Mandy" Hughes is an award-winning creative advocate with over three decades of creative writing and design experience, concentrating on graphic and instructional design.
Mandy earned her Bachelor and Masters of Science in Psychology and she also holds an Association of Talent Development (ATD) Master Trainer designation and Certified Consultant certificate. She has presented design-related sessions at three Training Magazine Conferences, 2019 through 2020, Training Magazine’s Techlearn Conference, 2019, and the Georgia Association of Museums and Galleries Conference, 2012.
In addition to writing professionally, Mandy has self-published multiple works of upmarket and literary fiction under her pen name “A. Lee Hughes,” with more projects scheduled for release throughout the year. She loves writing poetry and is simultaneously working on romantic comedies under her newest pseudonym, “Mandy Lee.”
Since 2005, Hughes has developed and delivered adult learning programs, specializing in creative design, communication, and customer service excellence. In her 16 years of training design and delivery experience, she has worked in healthcare, insurance, and non-profit industries helping professionals develop the skill sets they need for life adjustments, behavior change, and running a successful business. Her instructional design experience includes eLearning programs, instructor-led training, virtual instructor-led training, video learning, and accompanying publications.
Mandy is also a Tarot enthusiast with more than seven years' experience in reading the cards to enhance creativity. She lives in Georgia with her husband and four boys, two of whom are furrier than the others (but not by much).
